All persons hospitalized in connection with the recently detected Malaria cluster have been discharged.

This update comes from Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh, who says focus is now on those deemed to be most at risk.

His comments follow the Ministry’s revelation yesterday that five Malaria cases have been confirmed in south Trinidad, including the primary source.

The Minister also emphasized that Malaria is not endemic to T&T, with most – if not all cases – being imported or introduced to T&T.
