The Health Minister says measures are in place to deal with COVID cases during the upcoming Carnival season.

Mr Terrence Deyalsingh spoke during today’s sitting of the Lower House.

Mr Deyalsingh also stated that the Government is continuing with talks to procure additional COVID-19 vaccines.

Recently, the Health Minister reported an increase in local COVID-19 related hospitalisations and deaths.

According to the Ministry, between December 23rd 2023 and January 18th 2024, six deaths were recorded.
