The Education Ministry has renewed the employment contracts of 86 Early Childhood Care and Education teachers and teacher assistants.

These contracts will be effective for a period of three years, for 13 teachers and 73 teacher assistants.

Education Minister, Dr. Michael Dowlath, says the renewal reflects a firm dedication to strengthening early childhood education in T&T.

According to the Minister, there are currently 143 Government and Government-Assisted ECCE Centres, with 5,324 students.
