Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, the seventh movie in the MI franchise starring Tom Cruise, cruised its way to the top of the North American and Global box offices this weekend.

In North America, MI7 earned 56.2 million, taking its worldwide tally to over $235 million.

In second place was “Sound of Freedom” with $26 million, the incredible true story of a former government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers.

The top 5 was rounded out by the new horror-franchise movie Insidious followed by the latest Indiana Jones and the animated film Elemental.
