This weekend, the Agriculture Ministry will begin stakeholder consultations on the new Fisheries Management Bill 2023.
It says the Bill aims to create a robust legal basis to allow the fisheries administrations to effectively regulate the fishing industry and manage fisheries resources.
The first consultation will take place on Sunday 5th November at the Bagatelle Community Centre in Diego Martin.
In the days following this, other sessions are scheduled for Couva, San Fernando, Sangre Grande and Tobago.
