The Education Ministry has taken note of an incident today at Holy Faith Convent in Couva.

A video shared on social media shows a student being beaten by several other girls just outside the school compound.

The attack ends when an adult and other students intervene.

The Ministry says it is working with the school’s administration and all relevant authorities to ensure  a thorough review is conducted and appropriate measures taken.

It also warns that such behavior will not be tolerated, saying “Schools must remain safe, respectful spaces for all students, and any breach of this standard will be addressed with the utmost seriousness.”
