The Social Development Ministry says help is being provided to the King family after a fire that destroyed their home in Enterprise, Chaguanas on January 13th 2024.

It says officers from the National Social Development Programme and the Family Services Division visited to assess the needs of the family, which includes four adults and school-age children.

It says their areas of need include:

• Temporary Food Support for the family as they attempt to get back on their feet
• Household Items, Clothing and School supplies grants
• NSDP assistance grants for house repairs, and sanitary plumbing, pending provision of valid land documents. A referral will also be made to the National Commission for Help for the reconstruction of the home
