Progress is being made by women in the country, across to the Social Development Minister.

Donna Cox made her statement at the second edition of Women Power, a concert held at NAPA on March 8, International Women’s Day by the Network of NGOs of T&T for the Advancement of Women.

She said T&T is seeing a greater prominence of women in key roles compared to other nations.

The Minister pointed to the country’s female President, Speaker of the House of Representatives and President of the Industrial Court, as well as women in pivotal roles in the Cabinet.

She added that her Ministry remains committed to uplifting the country’s most vulnerable women, enabling them to unlock their full potential.
