We may be in the middle of the rainy season, but the hot weather is impacting the level of water in WASA’s reservoirs.
And if it persists, the Minister of Public Utilities says WASA may have to consider implementing water restrictions, according to a report on the Newsday.
But for now, he is advising persons to impose some restrictions on how they manage and conserve water.
The Minister told the Newsday that WASA’s production at the Hollis Reservoir has been cutback by one million gallons due to a drop in the lake level’s average.
But he insists, at this time the cutback doesn’t mean customers were affected, as additional wells drilled last year are picking up the slack.
