Caribbean Airlines has been authorized to settle wage talks with pilots with a 4% increase for the September 2015 to August 2020 bargaining period.
This was announced by Finance Minister Colm Imbert after he made a commitment to help the airline with negotiations, in light of recent protests by pilots.
In addition to the increase for 2015 to 2020, Caribbean Airlines has also been given the green light to offer a further 4% increase for the September 2020 to August 2023 bargaining period.
Meanwhile, the Minister noted that figures given to him by the airline for public dissemination regarding pilots’ allowances were inaccurate and should be corrected.
However, he said the figures given for their salaries were correct.
