Patriotic Front Leader Mickela Panday has outlined her party’s proposed solutions to address crime.

In a video posted to the party’s Facebook page, she said it will ensure the Police Service is visible, powerful, compassionate and effective, as well as well resourced.

Ms Panday added that there must be focus on the root causes of crime by investing youth, providing jobs and a “future filled with hope” and tackling poverty.

She noted that the party has plans to reform the justice system and clear the backlog of cases, and to ensure there is swift action against criminals.

Ms Panday insisted that her words are not political promises but a call to citizens to stand up and build a T&T where people can live without fear.

Earlier this year, Ms Panday announced that the Patriotic Front would be contesting all 41 seats in the next General Election.
