11-year-old Michael Seegobin was one of the runner-ups in this year’s MasterChef Junior competition.
Michael impressed throughout the run of Season 9, featuring in the Top 3 of all the challenges except one.
For the finale, the final three contestants had to prepare a three-course fine-dining meal featuring an appetizer, entree and dessert.
In the end however, he fell just short in the face of some stiff competition.
The competition was eventually won by 11-year-old Bryson McGlynn of Alabama.
MasterChef Junior was overseen by host and judge Gordon Ramsay along with fellow judges Aarón Sánchez, Daphne Oz and Gordon’s daughter, Tilly Ramsay.
Michael, is from New Smyrna, Florida and has Trini roots – his father Lieutenant Deen Seegobin is from Trinidad and currently works with Marion County Fire Rescue, in Florida.
