The Hazardous Seas Alert for T&T has been discontinued.

Over the past few days, the country’s northeastern-facing nearshore coasts were affected by swells caused by Hurricane Kirk which was moving in a north-easterly direction over the Atlantic Ocean.

According to the T&T Met Service this morning, the risk posed by the swells has diminished, with sea conditions having improved.

Hurricane Kirk meanwhile, is moving toward the northeast towards the west coast of France and has become a post-tropical cyclone.
