The Chaguanas Mayor expects the Perseverance/Factory Road Bridge to be reopened either today or tomorrow.

103.1FM News reached out for an update on the bridge which was closed off at the beginning of the month when significant cracks started appearing.

Mayor Faaiq Mohammed says the work necessary to reopen the roadway has been completed.

However, he notes that when the roadway is reopened, works to further stabilize and secure the bridge’s integrity will continue in a bid to ensure long-term safety.
