Mayaro MP Rushton Paray has restated his call for UNC National Executive Elections to be called when due, but insists that he did not challenge the legitimacy of Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s stewardship.

Comments from Mr Paray at the Couva Chamber of Commerce have drawn reactions from many who have thrown their support behind the UNC Leader whose current term ends in 2025.

Instead, he says, he stressed that UNC must be the best version of itself to challenge the PNM Government.

He adds that T&T deserves better than the PNM and notes that an important step is the timely staging of the UNC’s National Executive election.
