A Mayaro man is in custody after he was denied bail this morning on a stolen vehicle charge.

23-year-old Ronaldo Orosco, a fruit vendor, of Grand Lagoon Village, pleaded not guilty to the offence when he appeared virtually at the Mayaro Magistrate’s Court.

According to police, a blue Mazda 3 was stolen in the Sangre Grande district September 14th, 2023 and was recovered two days later.

The suspect was arrested yesterday after police searched his home and allegedly found the key for the vehicle.

He will reappear before the court on October 10th, 2023.
