Mayaro man in court for beach house breaking and larceny

A 57-year-old unemployed man was denied bail after appearing in court charged with several break-ins in Mayaro.

Michael Heminez was arrested on November 10th by detectives pursuing numerous leads into three similar reports.

One of the incidents occurred on November 6th – a woman returning to her vacation house found almost all the appliances, utensils and furniture missing.

Officers later executed a search warrant at a property occupied by a male suspect, and recovered several of the stolen items and a gram of cocaine.

Himenez was charged with three counts of beach house breaking and larceny and one count of cocaine possession, and will reappear before the court on November 24th.
