Production of HBO’s original Harry Potter series will begin in “Summer 2025”.

This has been confirmed by HBO’s streaming service, Max, on social media.

It notes that filming will be taking place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.

According to Variety magazine, showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod revealed that the show had auditioned 32,000 kids for the lead roles.

It adds that the casting team is currently reviewing between 500 and 1,000 audition tapes per day.

The “Harry Potter” series was officially ordered at Max in April 2023.
