Massy Energy says it is continuing to work with the relevant authorities in Colombia and Trinidad to expedite the return of Allanlane Ramkissoon’s body to his family in Trinidad.

Mr Ramkissoon, a pipefitter, died in a Colombian hospital on June 18th 2023, after suffering severe burns while working at the NiQuan plant in Pointe a Pierre.

In a statement issued today, the company says it continues to provide support to his family.

It adds that the investigation into the fatal incident is ongoing, and so, it is unable to provide any additional information at this time.

This week, lawyers for Mr Ramkissoon’s widow wrote to NiQuan Energy and the Massy Group of Companies, seeking compensation and answers in relation to his death.
