Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd and Simu Liu are among the names unveiled as part of the cast for “Avengers: Doomsday”.
The line-up was announced today during a live-streamed video that spanned several hours.
Hemsworth has played Thor since 2011 and was the first returning star announced.
Other actors set to reprise their MCU roles include Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier and Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man.
Also in the cast are: Simu Liu who played Shang-Chi in his 2021 standalone film, Letitia Wright as Shuri from the “Black Panther” and previous “Avengers” films, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, and David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian.
The actors set to be introduced in this summer’s “Fantastic Four: First Steps” – Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal and Joseph Quinn – were also announced as part of the cast.
Also said to be in the line-up: Tenoch Huerta Mejía who portrayed aquatic character Namor in 2022’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Kelsey Grammer who played Beast in 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand”, Winston Duke who has played M’Baku in the “Back Panther” movies, Tom Hiddleston who known for playing Loki, Sir Patrick Stewart who played Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men movies, Sir Ian McKellen who played Magneto in those same movies, Alan Cumming who played Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler in “X2: X-Men United”, Rebecca Romijn from “X-Men”, and James Marsden from “X-Men” and Channing Tatum who recently appeared as “Gambit in Deadpool and Wolverine”.
The final name announced was one unveiled months ago as the villain: it’s Robert Downey Jr. who will star as Dr Doom.
