A 57-year-old man is now in custody after walking into the Mayaro Police Station last night and confessing to chopping his co-worker.
The suspect, a logger from Moruga, told officers that he and the victim had gotten into an argument, during which time he allegedly chopped the man on his left shoulder.
The incident occurred around 8pm at at a house, over something that one of the men had reportedly overheard.
The injured man is said to be in a stable condition.
Officers of the Mayaro Criminal Investigations Department are investigating and have since seized the cutlass used during the incident.
