A man was shot and killed by officers in Claxton Bay yesterday.
The TTPS says Task Force officers were on mobile patrol in the area when they received information about men observed with firearms.
They went to the Dump Road area and were allegedly shot at when they attempted to stop a Hyundai H100 van.
The officers returned fire, wounding one man, who was later pronounced dead at the Couva Health Facility.
He has not been identified.
The TTPS says an AR-15 rifle was found at the scene.
