An Arima man has appeared in court charged with the double murder of 21-year-old Amy Walcott and 16-year-old Roshan Ali.

Walcott and Ali were shot dead at a house on Demerara Road on December 28th 2023.

In addition to two counts of murder, 25-year-old Jiair Meloney was also charged with shooting with intent, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

He appeared in the Arima High Court on Wednesday, with the matter adjourned to February 9th 2024.
