One man was held as police recovered a block of cocaine valued at $45,000.

Between 8pm and 10:30pm yesterday, police carried out an operation in San Fernando, with special emphasis on high crime areas, frequently targeted vehicles, priority offenders and intelligence gathering.

During this time, they held a 32-year-old man from Hindustan Street, Arouca.

He was found with the drug, which weighed 1105.3 grams.
