A 28-year-old Venezuelan man has reportedly been arrested, for assaulting a one-year-old.

The Guardian Newspaper reported that the incident allegedly took place in Valencia on Saturday night, when the child was allegedly beaten and received injuries to his eyes, forehead and had a broken leg and other injuries.

He remains warded in a serious, but stable condition.

The article noted that police responded to the altercation between two Venezuelan nationals around 11:15 that night, and officers saw the child’s father on the floor of the apartment.

They found the baby lying on the ground in a bedroom, crying, and with blood oozing from his nose and ears.
