A vehicular accident along the Main Road in Valencia has claimed the life of a Sangre Grande man.

The Guardian Newspaper reported that Amrit Nowbut was driving on the westbound lane around 10:40pm when his vehicle collided head-on with a maxi.

It states that Nowbut was declared dead by a DMO at the scene while the maxi driver remained hospitalized up to this morning.

A 40-year-old man of Fyzabad remains hospitalized after being stabbed during an argument with another man on Sunday.

Newsday reported that the altercation too place at a bar along Delhi Road.

The victim underwent emergency surgery after reportedly suffering a 12-inch-long wound to his right arm and a six-inch linear laceration to his neck.
