A former gang leader has been charged with Tupac Shakur’s murder in Las Vegas in 1996.
BBC News says Duane “Keffe D” Davis was indicted by a grand jury in Nevada.
Prosecutor Marc DiGiacomo told a court that Davis’s nephew and Shakur were involved in a fight in a casino, leading to the retaliatory shooting.
The hip-hop legend was shot four times in his car while waiting at a red light on September 7th 1996.
He died several days later, on September 13th, 1996.
He was 25-years-old.
Tupac is widely considered one of the most influential and successful rappers of all time and is also among the best-selling music artists in the world.
