Despite a stellar showing from Nicolas Pooran, Lucknow Super Giants succumbed to a narrow 1-wicket loss against Delhi Capitals in the IPL today.

Batting first, LSG piled on 209/8 in their 20 overs, with Pooran adding 75 and Mitchell Marsh contributing 72.

Mitchell Starc was the pick of the DC bowlers, taking 3/42.

In reply, Delhi recovered from 65/5 to put on 211/9 with just three deliveries to spare.

The fightback was led by Ashutosh Sharma who ended on 66 not out.

Sharma was DC’s Impact Player Substitute, coming into the side for Mukesh Kumar.
