The Local Government Ministry has launched a mobile app.

Called Local TT, the Ministry says it aims to empower residents, enhance public engagement, and significantly improve service delivery within local government.

The platform’s launch begins with Phase One, focusing on crowdsourced data from five municipal corporations: Diego Martin, San Fernando, Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo, Mayaro/Rio Claro and Tunapuna/Piarco.

Residents from these areas can submit reports on public infrastructural issues.

The collected data will then be used to guide fiscal measures and strategic planning in the remaining upcoming phases.
