There will be a delay in the launch of the Immigration Division’s new ePayment Portal for Student Permits and Visas.
According to the National Security Ministry, applications are to continue to be directed to immigration.visas@gov.tt where they will be processed as applications for visa waiver.
This system, it adds, will allow persons receiving approval to pay the visa waiver free of TT$400 on arrival at the port of entry.
The Ministry says this is not applicable to persons covered in the Second Schedule i.e. Cuba, North Korea, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Vietnam and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, who must apply via email, to immigration.visas@gov.tt or to any Trinidad and Tobago Mission.
It adds that holders of Diplomatic, Official or Service passports, must continue to apply via the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Trinidad and Tobago.
This process will continue until the launch of the ePayment Portal.
The Ministry says the implementation of this system will allow for a more robust, time-efficient, transparent and user-friendly service for persons who require entry visas and student permits.
