Larry Lalla S.C. has resigned as a member of the United National Congress.

In a letter to UNC Chairman Dave Tancoo, Mr Lalla says his decision followed nine years of unsuccessful efforts to ensure change within the party.

He reminds that he was part of the UNC Loyalists team in 2015, the Lotus team in 2020 and the United Patriots in 2024.

Mr Lalla then states, “…I have arrived at the conclusion I can afford no more time to my efforts in the party.”

He went on to wish the UNC “the best in its attempts to bring about a better Trinidad and Tobago.”
