A 32-year-old labourer has been charged with the murder of a 57-year old woman from Cedar Hill, Princes Town.

The victim was shot on January 27th and succumbed to her injuries on February 18th.

Before she died, she identified her attacker as being from the same area.

The man was arrested today on the advice of Deputy DPP Sabrina Jaglal and is expected to appear before a magistrate this week.

During his arrest, officers found him in possession of a 9mm pistol with an extended magazine containing three rounds of ammunition.
