The Labour Ministry says a message claiming that money would be paid to persons who worked between 1990 and 2024, is false news.

In a statement, it pointed out that the message refers to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, which does not exist within the Government of T&T.

The Ministry adds that it does not have any initiative such as this, with its mandate instead focusing on the provision of decent work, the facilitation of industrial peace and the provision of employment opportunities through on-the-job training and job placements.

It is advising persons not to interact with the post or its link.
