Labour Inspectors and other Labour Ministry officials have been learning Spanish in a bid to help the execution of their duties.

According to the Ministry, Labour Inspectors have a direct responsibility for protecting the rights of not only local minimum wage workers, but also those who speak Spanish.

It believes the classes, facilitated by the International Organization for Migration, will assist with enhancing communication with migrant Spanish speaking workers.
