Punjab Kings were defeated by the Royal Challengers Bangalore today in IPL action with Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik starring with the bat.

RCB chased 177 runs for victory, reaching 178/6 in 19.2 overs after Kohli’s 77 runs and Karthik’s 29 runs off 10 balls in the death overs.

Earlier Mohammed Siraj and Glen Maxwell took 2 wickets each for RCB as they restricted Punjab to 176/6.

Shikhar Dhawan made 45 for the Kings.

So far, all teams have played at least one match, with four teams yet to get off the mark on the scoreboard.
