Venkatesh Iyer and Mitchell Starc starred as Kolkata Knight Riders pulled off an important win over Mumbai Indians in the IPL today.

Venkatesh struck 70 as KKR made 169 all out, batting first.

Nuwan Thushara and Jasprit Bumrah grabbed 3 wickets each.

In reply, Mumbai had a shaky innings aside from Suryakumar Yadav’s top score of 56.

Starc took 4/33 as Mumbai lost their last three wickets for just one run, to end on 145 all out.

Sunil Narine and Andre Russell took two wickets apiece.

This victory helps KKR settle into 2nd place in the table, as teams feel the pressure to qualify for the final four.
