Several trendy K-Beauty brands will now be sold in select local pharmacies and stores.
K-Beauty is the nickname used for skincare and beauty products from South Korea.
Brands now available in T&T are:
- Tocobo – a vegan Korean skin care line which utilizes high quality ingredients with skin friendly formulas.
- Nineless – an optimal formula for a healthy scalp and hair.
- Mary & May – a clean beauty skincare brand focusing on naturally derived ingredients and sustainable and eco-friendly packaging and has never tested on animals.
At a launch event over the weekend, guests were treated to exclusive samples.
Jannike Rennie, Brand Manager at Smith Robertson & Co Ltd., noted the popularity of K-Beauty products and trends.
She said, “These products boast of high efficiency and the use of natural ingredients. Korean Beauty isn’t about concealing flaws and using spot treatments because they focus on skin care and getting to the root of those conditions and treating those problems before they even start…”
Meanwhile, Michèle Stagg, Director at Smith Robertson & Co Ltd said it is the company’s goal to develop its personal care line: “With the acquisition of the Oscar Francois Company into Smith Robinson we decided to focus a lot more on personal care consumer brands and as a result we created a division in the company to manage personal care consumer brands. This is very exciting for us as we have traditionally been a company that has focused on pharmaceuticals and now, we are going to have more opportunities.”
