Justice Minister tours Forensic Science Centre

Justice Minister Devesh Maharaj recently toured the Forensic Science Centre, which plays a vital role in the administration of justice through scientific analysis and evidence examination.

He received a first-hand look at various specialized areas and learned about various disciplines within forensic science and the advanced techniques used for investigations.

These included a direct experience in using the Integrated Ballistic Identification System and the intricate processes involved in forensic analysis, from DNA profiling and toxicology to ballistics and digital forensics.

Following this, Mr Maharaj acknowledged the significant impact of scientific findings on criminal investigations and court proceedings.
