Junior Benjamin has officially received his letter of appointment as Acting Police Commissioner.

Curt Simon was also presented with a letter of promotion for the role of Acting Deputy Police Commissioner.

A short ceremony was held this afternoon at the Police Service Commission office.

Parliament yesterday voted to elevate both following the suspension of Top Cop Erla Christopher as investigations continue into the acquisition of two high powered sniper rifles.
