The T&T Judiciary is paying tribute to late media stalwart Jones P. Madeira who passed away last week at the age of 80.

Mr Madeira was a former Court Protocol and Information Manager, in addition to having an illustrious career in the media.

The Judiciary says one of his defining moments came as he was held hostage during the 1990 attempted coup, during which he was a voice of calm delivering updates with composure.

It adds that he brought his trademark insight, tact and grace to his role as head of the Judiciary’s Court Protocol and Information Unit.
