Jordan air drops aid into Gaza via field hospital

Jordan has dropped medical and pharmaceutical supplies into the Gaza Strip via air.

BBC News reports that the supplies were dropped into a Jordanian field hospital with King Abdullah of Jordan saying, “we will always be there” for Palestine.

Aid agencies have been calling for a humanitarian ceasefire in the Israel/Hamas war to allow more aid to reach the Gaza Strip.

They warn that residents of Gaza urgently need food, water and medicine.

Among the calls for a ceasefire, according to Al Jazeera, is a joint statement by 18 UN and other organizations.
