IPL 2025 suspended as India-Pakistan conflict continues

IPL 2025 has been suspended “with immediate effect for one week” by the BCCI, amid the ongoing India-Pakistan cross-border tensions.

All tournament franchises have already been informed and teams have started disbanding players and support staff, understood to be taking the next available flights out of India.

The announcement came after the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala was called off due to safety issues.

The venue is located less than 100 kilometres from Pathankot, where air raid alerts were sounded, prompting the BCCI to take the call.

The IPL is yet to work out an alternate window to host the rest of the tournament.
