An investigation has started into the crash of a private plane off Bequia.

The crash took place around 12pm yesterday, shortly after the single-engine aircraft took off from the J.F Mitchell Airport.

According to the St Vincent Times, the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority is now investigating.

The aircraft, which was heading to St Lucia, was carrying four individuals who all died in the incident.

Local divers and the coast guard retrieved the bodies.
