Instruments of appointment have been presented to the new Board of Directors for the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB).
These were handed over earlier today by Agriculture Minister Haji Kazim Hosein.
The Board is led by Chairman Farid Antar and includes Kimya Valentine as Deputy Chairman and Gloria Brathwaite-Didier, Elizabeth Mohammed, Dillon Teelucksingh, Marie Thackorie and Dr. Melissa Williams Reid as Directors.
The ADB is a statutory body with a mandate to encourage and foster the development of agriculture, commercial fishing, industries connected therewith and to mobilize funds for the purpose of such development.
Minister Hosein has expressed his confidence in the newly appointed Board Members, saying, “The appointment of the new ADB Board Members marks a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering economic growth and development in our region. I am confident that these individuals will bring fresh insights and expertise to the table, further strengthening the ADB’s impact on our communities.”
