Saharan dust concentrations are expected to increase from this evening.

This information comes from the Met Service in its official public weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight.

The afternoon period is forecast to be partly cloudy and at times cloudy, with light to moderate showers in various locations.

There is also the medium chance of heavier showers or isolated thunderstorms, with gusty winds, street and flash flooding possible under heavy showers and thunderstorms.

During the evening however, the TTMS says a significant increase in the concentration of Saharan dust is expected.
