Around 15 per cent of Tobagonian SEA student this year scored below 30 per cent in the exam, an improvement from last year.

The island’s Education Secretary Zorisha Hackett says in 2022, 33 per cent of the SEA pupils scored under the 30 per cent mark.

This year of the 1,048 students who sat the exam – 513 girls and 535 boys – a total of 159 scored under 30 per cent.

Ms. Hackett says Tobago has 39 primary schools, which includes 25 denominational, 13 government and one private, adding that 32 private candidates were also registered.
