Finance Minister Colm Imbert says an appeal against him in a court case by Phillip Alexander has been dismissed.

According to the Minister on X, formerly known as Twitter, in October 2023 Mr Alexander was ordered by the High Court to pay him $525,000 for defamation on Facebook.

The matter stemmed from claims that the Minister had bought an exotic Swedish sports car.

Mr Imbert says Mr Alexander appealed the ruling, but the appeal was dismissed yesterday, affirming the High Court’s decision.
