Investigations are also continuing into the murder of a 53-year-old ice-cream salesman.

Around 7:00pm yesterday, Winston Sammy was offloading his van at his home on Hillview Avenue, Berridge Trace, South Oropouche, when a man got out of a white vehicle and called out to him.

Mr Sammy was fatally shot when he approached the gate.

His death comes just days after an apparent attempt on his life.

On Friday, he was driving on the Berridge Trace Flyover when a man jumped out of some bushes and began firing shots at the vehicle.
