A stop clock to reduce time wastage will be introduced by the ICC starting with the 1st T20I between West Indies and England tomorrow.
According to the ICC, an electronic clock will look to speed up the game by penalising instances of time wastage by the fielding side.
The clock will be introduced on a trial basis, for full member men’s ODIs and T20Is between December 2023 and April 2024.
Approximately 59 international fixtures will come under its purview starting with tomorrow’s T20I between West Indies and England in Barbados which bowls off at 6pm.
