Hurricane Milton has left millions of people without power as it tore through Florida, with authorities suspecting at least two “hurricane-related deaths”.

The storm brought tornadoes, floods, and surges and is now moving into the Atlantic but is still expected to produce hurricane-force winds and heavy rain over land.

BBC News said a number of deaths were reported on the Atlantic coast.

NBC and Sky News later added that the deaths were believed to have occurred as a tornado hit St Lucie County.
